Mutual Arts Collective (MAC) welcomes excerpts from Farewell to Seasons, the forthcoming graphic novel and accompanying album by Mike McCready. This exhibition features a curated selection of artwork taken directly from the pages of the graphic novel, with interior illustrations by Sebastián Piriz and cover artwork by R. Kikuo Johnson. Chosen for their ability to stand alone as visual works, these images capture moments of ambition, vulnerability, resilience, and discovery. Together, they offer a glimpse into the world of Farewell to Seasons while honoring the experiences that shape creative lives.

“’Farewell to Seasons’ is a historical fiction story with fantasy elements set against the Seattle music scene of the late '80s and early '90s. It follows the loves, losses, triumphs, and tragedies of three characters; David Williams, Angela Sunrise, and Jonathan Alexander. Guiding the story is the Queen of the Seasons, an Oracle who watches over and influences their journeys, alongside two spirits: Echo, a seer of futures, and Hollow, the deceiver, who tempt and taunt the characters along the way. Ultimately, Farewell to Seasons asks a simple but profound question:

With this exhibition, MAC has partnered with SMASH (Seattle Musicians Access to Sustainable Health Care), a nonprofit that helps Seattle-area musicians stay healthy by connecting them to free and low-cost services for dental care, hearing screenings & protection, and mental health counseling.
